‘Aureomarginatum’ is a superb Liriodendron, that is much adored for its unique shaped, variegated green and lemon leaflets. From July until August, you will witness an abundance of tulip-like flowers, that are a zingy yellow in colour, smothering its pyramidal shaped growing habit. Easy to care for and perfect for woodland themed landscapes, position in semi shade and watch it thrive to a height of 17m, along with a spread of 12m. Liriodendron tulipifera ‘Aureomarginatum’ boasts unusual shaped foliage with distinctive golden margins in spring. As summer progresses the variegation recedes, with the foliage becoming greenish-yellow before turning to fabulous shades of buttery gold in autumn. Grow Tulip Trees in a sunny or semi shaded position. Plant Liriodendron tulipifera in a rich, moist, well drained, neutral to slightly acid soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply.
