The climbing rose ‘Laura Ford’ features small, double blooms in a rich, deep yellow colour, exuding a subtle fragrance. These flowers are set against a backdrop of lush, dark green leaves. Unlike many climbing roses, ‘Laura Ford’ produces blooms along the entire length of the plant and continues to flower throughout the summer. With its compact growth habit, it’s an excellent choice for growing on patios. This striking rose has also earned the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding performance. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole. Stems of climbing roses will require training against a suitable support such as a pergola, fence or wall.
