‘Miss Mary’ is a superb Phlox, that is ready to flower from July until October. It produces bundles of fragrant hot red blooms, that smother a mound forming habit of vibrant green foliage. Easy to care for and great for using as attractive ground cover, be sure to incorporate into borders, alpine, cottage and low maintenance themed landscapes for maximum impact. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it flourish to a height and spread of 60cm. Phlox x arendsii ‘Miss Mary’ is often sold under the synonym Phlox paniculata ‘Red Riding Hood’ – a name that seems to suit it better! Panicles of large, cherry red blooms make this perennial Phlox an eye-catching variety in summer. Grow phlox plants in any fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil prior to planting.
