Rose ‘Ruby Wedding’ makes the perfect anniversary gift. From July until October you will witness an array of beautiful deep red blooms that are velvety to touch and heavenly in scent. They sit proudly amongst a compact, bushy shrub that bears deep green, glossy leaflets. Ideal for adding to cottage gardens, flower beds and borders for some extra colour, this Rosa does not disappoint in high disease resistance, a deciduous spreading habit and reliability. It will spread to around 60cm and grow in height to 90cm, ‘Ruby Wedding’ is easy to care for and makes a fabulous addition to patio areas, balconies and courtyards. Your bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Once planted, they will remain in their dormant state until the spring. Above ground you won’t see much happening over the winter, but the roots will be establishing ready for your roses to grow away quickly once the warmer weather arrives. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
