‘African Sky’ is a superb Salvia, that is ready to bloom from April until November. It generates an abundance of open-mouthed, sky-blue flowers, that are borne upon slender upright stems, amongst a bushy habit of fresh green foliage. Ideal for planting in patio pots, tropical and wildlife themed landscapes, keep positioned in dappled shade where it will flourish to a height of 75cm, along with a spread of 60cm. Exquisite sky-blue flowers crowd the upright stems of this magnificent perennial over a long period. The woody stems are cloaked in dark, aromatic foliage that makes a good contrast with its open-mouthed blooms. Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant. This Salvia will appreciate a sheltered position with protection from strong winds and particularly hard frosts.
