This beautiful Japanese Maple is an ornamental shrub that is a popular choice for intense colour. From April until June, it generates small flowers that make a contrasting statement against its vibrant green, feathery leaflets. Slow growing and turning a hot red as Autumn approaches, ‘Osakazuki’ makes fabulous additions to borders, patios and even woodlands! Due to its showy foliage, there is no way that this Acer can hide at the back, plant your hardy tree in dappled shade but in the centre or front of flower beds so it can be that showy specimen shrub it deserves. It will grow in height and spread to 4m Grow Acer palmatum trees in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. It is quite important to give plants shelter from strong winds which can scorch the leaves.
