‘Platt’s Black’ is a versatile perennial that flowers from June until August. It produces delicate blooms that sit happily upon its bushy, feathery bronze foliage. Much loved for its attractive lace-like leaflets, your Leptinella makes fabulous groundcover and is a great choice for low maintenance and cottage gardening schemes. It is easy to grow, enjoys dappled shade to grow and will develop in height to 5cm, along with a spread of 30cm. Grow Leptinella squalida in a reliably moist but free-draining position in full sun or part shade. Due to its spreading tendency, brass buttons is best kept away from delicate slow-growing plants that are vulnerable to being smothered. Clumps can be divided in spring.
