‘Café Au Lait’ is a superb Dahlia mix, that is ready to bloom from July until November. It includes five outstanding varieties, that flower in abundance, sporting shades of cream, pale pink, rose, lilac and marshmallow. Perfect for creating an eye-catching indoor vase display, be sure to incorporate into cut flower, cottage and tropical themed landscapes. Its huge 27cm width blooms make a stunning contrast against its clump forming, deep green foliage and will perform well until the first frosts. Position in direct sunlight and watch them thrive to a height of 100cm, along with a spread of 60cm. A collection of 2 varieties selected from the Café au Lait’ series. Plant Dahlia tubers outdoors in April after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6″) and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June.
