‘Alaska’ is a beautiful new Muscari, that is ready to bloom from March until June. It produces bundles of delicate white flowers, that are each subtly dipped in a pastel blue. Topping a clump forming habit of fresh green foliage, this hardy perennial would be ideal for planting within cottage, alpine and wildlife gardening schemes, as well as using as attractive ground cover. Keep in partial shade and watch it flourish to a height and spread of 20cm. An icy palette of arctic white with powder blue shadows topped with lime green tips. These little grape hyacinths perfectly capture the freshness of spring. For the best effect, plant muscari bulbs in large groups. Grape hyacinth plants prefer a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well drained, fertile soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4″) and a distance of 5cm (2″) apart.
