‘Hillary’ is a wonderful new Peony, that is ready to bloom from May until July. It produces masses of sweet smelling, ruffled flowers, that are a hot pink in colour. They beautifully smother a herbaceous growing habit of fresh green foliage and are happy to develop in semi shade. Perfect for planting in cottage, cut flower, scented and wildlife gardening schemes, enjoy watching it thrive to a height of 75cm, along with a spread of 90cm. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position. They prefer a well drained, rich fertile soil. This is best achieved by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Plant herbaceous peonies at a depth of around 5cm (2″) below the soil surface. Planting too deeply may delay flowering.
