Typha gracilis is a slightly more compact version of Bulrush compared to Typha angustifolia, making it an ideal choice for medium to large ponds. This fast-growing perennial showcases cylindrical, light brown flower heads that rise above its narrow, strap-like green leaves throughout the summer. As a deciduous Bulrush, it offers an attractive presence during the warmer months and maintains visual interest in winter if the tall flower stems are left standing. Height and spread: 150cm (59″). Planting depth: Zones 2 and 3, up to 30cm (12″) below the water’s surface.
