This beautiful, tender perennial is a bright, attractive houseplant that is perfect for adding to a modern or contemporary home interior. It generates large, patterned leaflets that are round, striped with green and silver that boast a tropical vibe. It enjoys a partially shaded spot to grow, has a bushy growing habit and would sit well in a humid bathroom or kitchen area. It will grow in height and spread to around 80cm, create a showy focal point and make a great addition to conservatories and greenhouses. Codiaeum needs careful placement if it is to thrive. Position in a warm room with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). For the best leaf colour, choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of direct sun – an east or west facing window is ideal.
