‘Charlie Boy’ is a fabulous Cabbage Palm that bears burgundy and pink variegated leaflets. Easy to care for and requiring partial shade to grow, this Cordyline makes a real statement wherever placed and sits well in tropical, coastal and low maintenance gardens. From June until September, small flowers will appear, adding even more ornamental value and decoration to your outdoor space! Superb for adding texture and colour to borders, flowerbeds and patio pots, be sure to make it a focal point and leave it space to create some natural movement. It will develop in height to 300cm and will spread to around 100cm. Cordyline ‘Charlie Boy’ is a striking architectural shrub which bears long strap-shape leaves variegated with pink and burgundy. Grow on in frost free conditions and acclimatise to the outdoors over 7-10 days before planting out. Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.
