‘Baby Doris’ is an elegant Carnation that flowers from June until October. It generates an abundance of bright pink blooms, that each feature a contrasting ruby red centre. They sit upon a bushy habit of silver-green foliage and perch upon slender, airy stems. Happy to progress in direct sunlight, be sure to add into a cottage, alpine or scented gardening scheme, where it can add drama and vibrancy. Your Dianthus will grow in height and spread to around 25cm Surround your patio seating with pots of dreamy Dianthus ‘Baby Doris’ and relax amongst soft cushions of bright pink blooms accompanied by clouds of heady perfume. Pot up plants into pots of free-draining compost, and grow carnations on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When all risk of frost has passed and plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant carnations outdoors in moist, well drained soil that has been enriched with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. Choose a position in full sun.
