‘Zephirine Drouhin’ is a superb new Rosa, that is ready to bloom from July until October. It generates masses of sweet smelling, double pink flowers, that cloak a climbing growing habit of fresh green foliage. Easy to care for and eye-catching wherever placed, be sure to incorporate into cottage and scented themed landscapes, as well as using to hide unsightly walls and fences. Happy to progress in partial shade, watch it flourish to a height of 500cm along with a spread of 250cm. A traditional variety of Bourbon Rose, Rose ‘Zéphirine Drouhin’ is a wonderfully coloured deep pink, double rose that not only looks amazing as it covers walls, it also has a rich fragrance that can be allowed to drift indoors through an open window during the summer months. Bourbon Roses are completely thornless which means that they can be safely grown anywhere in the garden without the worry of being pricked or scratched and they are vigorous growers so that they will quickly cover a wall or fence, or can even be trained to grow up a large tree too. Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
