Trachelospermum Jasminoides
The must-have addition to any garden this summer!
The Trachelospermum Jasminoides is a beautiful elegant evergreen climber that bears thousands of amazing pure white, star-shaped flowers throughout the summer months. The Trachelospermum Jasminoides is not of the Jasmine family, it is often confused as such for its common name of Star Jasmine!
Changing with the seasons this rich, glossy evergreen turns deep red and bronze in autumn, forming the perfect backdrop for its dramatic blooms. Its beautiful white flower blooms perfume the air with an irresistible, sweet fragrance.
Wondering where to plant Trachelospermum Jasminoides?
They make a stunning addition to a scented patio garden or grown against a sheltered wall for a truly glamorous display. Height and spread: Up to :8m (26′).
Grow star jasmine plants in frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown, plant Trachelospermum jasminoides in fertile, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade. Choose a sheltered position that is protected from cold winter winds. In particularly cold areas, Trachelospermum jasminoides is best grown in patio containers of loam based compost, such as John Innes No.2, that can be moved to a protected position over winter. Provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis, wires or a free standing climbing frame.
