Asplenium nidus is an attractive perennial that generates bright, frilly fronds, in a glossy shade of apple green. A popular choice for a houseplant fern, position in semi shade and incorporate into modern home interiors, conservatories and greenhouses. It will remain easy to care for all year round and is an excellent air purifier! It will progress to a height of 1.5m and will spread to around 1m. An ideal choice for shadier rooms, north or east facing windowsills or bathrooms, this tough fern is an undemanding houseplant. Grow in bright, indirect light, avoiding strong, direct, sunlight. Maintain the temperature above 13°C. Provide high humidity by regular misting. Water regularly between spring and autumn when the first couple of centimetres of compost have dried out, feeding during the growing season with a balanced houseplant feed. Reduce watering in the winter and avoid draughts.
