It generates an abundance of pure white flowers that form in tidy clusters, they sit amongst lengthy stems that are cloaked in silver-green tear drop shaped leaflets and develop amongst an upright, growing habit. This Centranthus is known for being incredibly drought resistant, it can cope in poor soils and even withstands coastal conditions. Plant in full sun and sit in a cottage or wildlife gardening scheme. It will grow in height and spread to around 100cm and will provide texture and architectural height in any sized outdoor space. Plant Valerian into a well-drained soil in full sun. Plants will also tolerate stony, chalky, difficult soils and will thrive in coastal situations.
