Cordyline ‘Torbay Red’ is an RHS award-winning variety with magnificent deep bronze-red foliage. Grow on in frost free conditions and acclimatise to the outdoors over 7-10 days before planting out. Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.
