A captivating deciduous vine, valued primarily for its heart-shaped leaves, which are richly veined and feature delicate splashes of pink and white at the tips, as though brushed with paint. In early summer, it produces fragrant white flowers. Grow Actinidia against a sheltered wall, with protection from cold winter winds. Choose a position in full sun on fertile, well drained soil. The foliage colour will be at its best if grown in full sun. Actinidia is a twining climber which will need training onto wires or similar supports.
