Loved for its big, heart-like, metallic silver and green foliage which will most certainly cheer up even the shadiest of places! Throughout April and May the tidy, clumped foliage of Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack Frost’ are decorated with dainty sprays of perfect blue blooms. This robust and fast-growing variety makes excellent ground cover and looks very effective planted amongst ferns for a woodland display or at the front of borders in cottage gardens.Height: 45cm (18″). Spread: 60cm (24″). Plant Brunnera plants in sun, semi shade or dappled shade. Brunnera plants prefer a well drained, moist, fertile soil. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting and choose a shaded position.
