Above water the foliage of Myriophyllum brasiliensis is feathery and brilliant green, carried on conspicuous red stems. The foliage beneath the water is a different form with a deeper reddish colour. Red Stemmed Parrot’s Feather has a vigorous growth habit , its dense stems and foliage forming useful shelter for underwater wildlife. This versatile perennial can be grown in boggy soils at the ponds margins or beneath the water’s surface as an effective oxygenating aquatic. Height: 25cm (10″). Spread: 100cm (39″). Planting depth: Zones 1, 2 & 3 to 25cm (10″) below water level.
