This hardy Ice Plant flowers from May until November, delivering on intense blooms, vibrancy and texture! Its bundles of flowers appear in large groups and each feature hundreds of small, silky petals in a bright purple. They cloak its cushion of succulent like foliage and enjoy full sun to develop. It would sit well in an alpine, coastal or wildlife gardening scheme and would look stunning in a patio pot or used as attractive ground cover. It will grow in hight to 15cm and will spread to around 60cm. Delosperma thrives in poor sandy, sharply drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered position. Add plenty of sharp grit to the soil prior to planting in order to improve drainage and prevent the roots from rotting.
