This stunning Sweet Bay Tree makes a beautiful addition to any sized garden. It boasts full crowns of deep green foliage, that sit amongst tall, elegant stems and contrast perfectly against a flurry of flowers from March until June. Ideal for using in a variety of culinary dishes, this aromatic Bay Laurel is incredibly versatile and low maintenance. Superb for adding to containers, kitchen gardens, the front of borders and entranceways, your Bay tree will attract lots of attention and create a great focal point wherever placed. Plant in a sunny spot and watch it grow in height to 150cm, along with a spread of 50cm. It will arrive to you in a 5-7.5 litre pot. Bay trees are best grown in large containers of soil based compost such as John Innes that can be moved to a cold greenhouse or sheltered position during the winter months. In mild areas, plant Bay Laurel trees in the ground in any fertile, well drained soil in a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade. Prior to planting drive a stake into the planting hole to support the tree once it is planted. Plant bay trees at the same soil level as they were growing at the nursery, and use a tree tie to fasten the tree to the stake.
