Philodendron erubescens ‘Pink Princess’ is a highly coveted and unique plant, prized by houseplant enthusiasts for its striking beauty. Its glossy, heart-shaped leaves feature bold dark green and bubblegum pink splashes, set against vibrant red stems. While its eye-catching appearance might suggest a high-maintenance plant, it’s actually quite easy to care for—just provide it with plenty of bright light to keep its stunning pink hues vibrant. This fast-growing vine can be trained to climb a pole or left to cascade from a hanging pot, adding a touch of elegance to any space. Maximum height/spread: 1.2m (4ft). This rare and striking Philodendron is much sought-after by houseplant collectors. Philodendron is an adaptable plant, growing happily in average room temperatures of 18C (65F) – 24C (75F). Do not allow temperatures to fall below 12C (55F). Place in a position which receives several hours of bright, indirect light but avoid direct sunlight. Good light is essential for maintaining the bright pink variegation and plants kept in low light will revert to dark green. Avoid positions close to cold draughts and radiators. Water regularly, allowing the top half of compost to dry out between waterings and never leave sitting in water. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Philodendron appreciates a humid atmosphere – stand it on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant. Misting the foliage daily with a fine spray will also help to improve humidity.
