Typha angustifolia is a fabulous marginal aquatic, that is ideal for planting in water gardens, bogs and damp borders. Blooming from July until October, chocolate brown cylindrical flower heads create a great talking point and add some attraction above its clump forming habit of strap-like, grey-green foliage. Happy to develop in full sun, watch it encourage and create a home for insects and thrive to a height and spread of 150cm. Grow Typha fully submerged in the margins of ponds with the crown to a maximum depth of up to 30cm (12″) below water level. Choose a position in full sun.
