This fabulous hardy perennial is perfect for planting within bogs and in water gardens. Its slender, strap-like, bright green foliage, forms in tight clumps and is elegantly decorated from May until Auguest with beige-brown, spiky flowers. It enjoys progressing in semi shade and also sits well by pond edges and in wildlife themed landscapes. Watch it develop to a height and spread of 120cm. Plant Carex pendula into any reliably moist or boggy soil, or submerged in the shallow margins of ponds to a maximum depth of 15cm (8″). Choose a position in sun or partial shade.
