Brunnera ‘Alexander’s Great’ is a striking, large-leaved perennial that adds drama to borders and large containers. This hardy plant grows larger and more impressive each spring, forming tidy clumps of silvery, veined foliage that brings a bold statement to any garden. It works beautifully as an underplanting for trees and shrubs or as part of a mixed border with your favorite perennials. In spring, delicate sprays of sky-blue flowers emerge on slender stems, adding an extra layer of seasonal charm. Ideal for low-maintenance gardens, Brunnera thrives in shady spots but is also adaptable to sunnier areas. For a fresh contrast, plant it in containers on your patio alongside seasonal bedding plants. Height: 40cm (16″). Spread: 90cm (36″). Plant bareroot Brunnera plants at the earliest opportunity following delivery in sun, semi shade or dappled shade. Brunnera plants prefer a well drained, moist, fertile soil. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting and choose a shaded position.
