Echinacea purpurea ‘Alba’ makes a striking, clump-forming perennial with its stiff, white ray florets surrounding a prominent honey-coloured cone. The solitary flowers are held on sturdy stems above dark green basal leaves and make excellent specimens for vase displays. They are attractive to butterflies and ideal for a wildlife or cottage garden. After flowering the dried heads can be left on the plant to provide continued winter interest. Height: 90cm (36”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
Echinacea purpurea ‘Alba’ makes a striking, clump-forming perennial with its stiff, white ray florets surrounding a prominent honey-coloured cone. Grow echinacea plants in a sunny or semi shaded position on moist, well drained soil. Coneflowers prefer a deep, fertile soil and will benefit from the addition of some well rotted manure or garden compost to soil, prior to planting.
