Popular for its air purifying qualities, your Platycerium will look superb planted in a stylish container, sitting in a modern home interior, conservatory or greenhouse. It enjoys dappled shade to progress and will develop in height to 80cm, along with a spread of 100cm. Boasting beautiful, fuzzy silver leaves, Platycerium biturcatum ‘Netherlands’ is an unusual and exotic indoor fern. The strap-like leaves are forked when mature, resembling a stag’s antlers.
Grow Platycerium in a bright spot out of direct sunlight. Water by dunking in water for 10-15 minutes (less in winter), then allowing to drain. Let the soil dry out between watering. Staghorn fern enjoys a high humidity environment so is ideal for bathrooms or kitchens, or else mist regularly.
