‘Crown Mix’ is a stunning Tulip that is ready to bloom from April until June. It generates a profusion of crown and parrot type flowers, that boast striking shades of white, pink and purple. Fabulous for brightening up dull cottage gardens, incorporating into lifeless flower beds and for adding to contemporary patio pots. Happy to grow in full sunlight, watch them thrive to a height of 50cm, along with a spread of 10cm. A flamboyant mix of parrot and crown type tulips, boasting elaborately fringed, ruffled and fluted petals. This frothy mix of white, pinks and deep purple will inject the garden landscape with spring frivolity! Height: 40cm- 50cm (16-20in). Spread: 10cm (4″). Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
