Geranium pratense ‘Double Jewel’ is a standout variety that every hardy Geranium lover will want to add to their collection. Its distinctive white flowers, highlighted by soft mauve-pink centers, create a stunning contrast. The blooms appear in early summer, rising above a loose mound of finely textured foliage. This delightful perennial is perfect for filling gaps at the front of herbaceous borders and seamlessly integrates into cottage garden designs. Height: 40cm (16″) Spread: 30cm (12″) Plant geranium bareroots at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Should soil conditions prevent planting directly into borders (if soil is frozen or waterlogged), perennial geraniums should be potted up, watered sparingly and grown on in a cool position. Choose a sunny or semi shaded position on moist, well drained soil. Work some compost or general fertiliser into the top 20cm of the soil. Dig a hole wide enough to accommodate the bareroot with its roots spread out and deep enough that the crown of the plant is just a few cm below soil level. Backfill the hole with soil and firm the plant in gently. Water well to settle the soil.
