Ginkgo biloba is an exciting Maidenhair Tree, that is much adored for its unique, fan-shaped leaflets. Growing slowly in an upright, conical form, its rare foliage later transforms to a gleaming gold in the autumn, adding lots of garden interest and vibrancy in those cold, dull months. Producing bundles of small flowers from April until June, be sure to incorporate into woodland and low maintenance themed gardens and keep positioned in direct sunlight. A great specimen tree, watch it thrive to a height of 25m and spread to around 5m! Dating back millions of years, this is the sole survivor of its genus, instantly recognisable for its unique fan-shaped foliage. Ginkgo biloba forms a handsome, slow growing, conical tree that makes a superb focal point. Grow ginkgo trees in any fertile, well drained soil. Choose a position in full sun. Ginkgo trees are extremely resilient and shows excellent tolerance to polluted air.
