These evergreen beauties are prized for their large blooms and eye-catching colours that stand out beautifully against a backdrop of lustrous, dark green foliage. Camellia plants require a moist, well drained, acid soil in a sheltered, shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow Camellia plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3 and position in dappled shade.
