This incredible Tulip flowers from March until May, it generates peony-shaped blooms in a fiery shade of red and orange – as the months pass by you will witness them transform into a mesmerizing coral-yellow, which contrasts beautifully against its fresh green foliage. Ideal for growing in containers and pots, this versatile Tulip is also great for using as ground cover and adding to cottage gardens. ‘Gudoshnik Double’ bears particularly large flowers, they enjoy partial shade to develop and make a dramatic statement wherever they appear. It will grow in height to 50cm and spread to around 15cm. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
