Belstar is a delicious early variety for harvest from July. It’s large and distinctive domed heads can weigh 400-500g. After harvesting the central head, you can cut subsequent side shoots for an extra nutritious crop.
Hailed as a superfood, Belstar is high in vitamins A C and a good source of iron.
Moderate mildew resistance. Ideal for beds and borders.
Crops 12-16 weeks from sowing. Crisp, healthy green heads followed by succulent side shoots. Sow 18mm deep on a finely raked ‘seedbed’. Can also be started in trays and planted out later. Plant firmly in their final positions 45cm apart.
