‘Boo-boo’ is a wonderful Houttuynia, that is the perfect choice for bogs, damp borders and water gardens. It produces a clump forming habit of crinkly, heart-shaped leaflets, each intricately shaded in a vibrant green, yellow and red. From May until August, it generates an abundance of four-petalled white blooms, that accompany its aromatic foliage splendidly. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height of 40cm, along with a spread of 100cm. This hardy perennial is both moisture and drought tolerant, and thrives in almost any position from sun to dappled shade. Plant Houttuynia in any garden soil, or in the shallow margins of ponds with the crown to a depth of 10cm (4″) below water level. In favourable conditions, Houttuynia will spread freely, but can be easily contained if planted in containers.
