‘Green Pillar’ is a wonderful hardy tree, that is ready to bloom from May until July. It generates a flurry of small cream flowers, that elegantly contrast against a columnar, multi branching habit of fresh green foliage. Each leaflet is much loved for its deeply lobed form and creates a bold focal point in Autumn as they transform to a fiery red. Ideal for growing in wildlife and woodland gardening schemes, be sure to position in semi shade and watch it progress to a height of 12m, along with a spread of 3m. A slender Pin Oak with a columnar habit and dense, upright branches. Quercus palustris ‘Green Pillar’ is cloaked in narrow, deeply lobed, glossy green leaves that form a dense canopy throughout summer. Autumn transforms the leaves to bright scarlet, in a breathtaking display. Plant Oak into any moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or dappled shade. Can be grown as hedging, or as a stand-alone tree, but plant out with an awareness of the final size of the tree.
