Your bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Once planted, they will remain in their dormant state until the spring. Above ground you won’t see much happening over the winter, but the roots will be establishing ready for your roses to grow away quickly once the warmer weather arrives. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil.
