Centaurea montana is a gorgeous new hardy shrub, that is ready to bloom from May until June. It produces bundles of violet, spider-like flowers, that top a mound forming habit of fresh green foliage. Easy to care for and vibrant in colour, be sure to incorporate into cottage gardens and borders. Happy to progress in direct sunlight, watch it flourish to a height of 45cm and spread to around 60cm. Grow Centaurea in borders in full sun. Perennial Cornflowers are drought tolerant once established and will happily tolerate almost any soil, except those that are excessively waterlogged.
