It produces a flurry of small clustered, pearly white flowers, that delicately decorate an upright, multi branching habit of fresh green, heart shaped leaflets. From March to April, the bare branches of Cercis chinensis ‘Shirobana’ are smothered in small, pea-like, white flowers, creating a stunning spring spectacle. Grow Cercis chinensis in rich fertile, moist, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil to improve its structure and fertility.
