‘Pink Fizz’ is a superb Fuchsia, that is ready to flower from June until October. It produces bundles of double, bright pink and hot red blooms, that smother a climbing growing habit of fresh green foliage. Adored for its intense flower power, be sure to incorporate into wildlife and cottage themed landscapes, as well as planting up in a patio pot where it can sprawl along walls, fences and trellis! Happy to grow in semi shade, watch it flourish to a height of 1.5m, along with a spread of 90cm. The next generation of climbing fuchsias has arrived! Fuchsia ‘Pink Fizz’ offers a huge improvement over the climbing favourite ‘Lady Boothby’. Showy and free flowering, the dangling pink blooms are produced along the entire length of the stem and not just on the tips. The vigorous upright stems can extend by up to 1.5m (5ft) in a single season, making it perfect for covering walls, fences, arches and obelisks. Tolerating temperatures down to -10°C (14F), this hardy fuchsia is tough enough to be permanently planted in a border getting bigger and better each year. Height: 1.5m (5′). Spread: 90cm (36″). Pot up Fuchsia ‘Pink Fizz’ using well drained compost such as John Innes No.3, and grow on in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while fuchsia plants are still small to promote bushier growth and more flowers. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period, before planting them in their final positions in patio containers and sunny or semi shaded borders. Choose a site where they are protected from cold winds over winter. Provide a sturdy support, such as a plant climbing frame or trellis, to support the long stems of climbing fuchsias as they grow.
