‘David’ is a striking Taxus, that is much loved for its columnar, dwarf growing habit. It boasts masses of needle-like leaflets, that are shaded in a deep green, featuring a golden edge. A great architectural shrub with its upright form, be sure to incorporate into borders, rockeries and alpine themed gardens for extra texture. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it flourish to a height of 1.5m, along with a spread of 1m. With its narrow, green leaves and attractive gold edging, Taxus baccata ‘David’ is a more compact version of golden Irish Yew and perfect for the smaller garden. This compact, hardy evergreen is slow growing, with a dense, stiffly upright habit that makes a handsome feature in the garden. Grow Yew trees in any well drained, fertile soil. Taxus is versatile and will happily grow on acid or alkaline soils. It will grow thrive in almost any position from full sun to deep shade.
