‘Hillii’ is a striking Taxus, that is much loved for its dense growing habit. It boasts masses of needle-like leaflets, that are shaded in a deep glossy green. A great architectural shrub with its bushy form, be sure to incorporate into wildlife and cottage themed gardens, as well as using as attractive hedging. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it flourish to a height of 1.8m, along with a spread of 1.5m. Taxus x media ‘Hillii’ is a columnar, upright shrub with dense, bushy branches. It’s neat habit and evergreen foliage make this an excellent choice for creating hedges and screens. It is somewhat hardier than the common Yew, T. baccata, and copes well with cold, exposed locations. Grow Yew trees in any well drained, fertile soil. Taxus is versatile and will happily grow on acid or alkaline soils. It will grow thrive in almost any position from full sun to deep shade.
