‘Mai Tai’ is a Tulipa, that flowers from April until June. It generates bundles of double, pink-orange blooms, that are borne upon slender stems, amongst a compact clump forming habit of fresh green foliage. Ideal for growing in patio pots, cottage and cut flower gardening schemes, be sure to position your hardy bulb in full sun where it can thrive to a height of 50cm, along with a spread of 20cm. This Tulip will instantly add vibrancy and texture to your landscape, as well as creating a great summer focal point. A large, double-flowered tulip in a fruity cocktail of mango, pineapple and pomegranate that is sure to bring some tropical flair to your spring displays. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
