This mesmerising Tree Peony boasts luxurious, double, ruffled blooms in a circular dome and are a shade of vibrant lemon. Each flower emits a delicious fragrance and is a magnet for pollinating insects. Its fresh green foliage contrasts beautifully and forms in a bushy, rounded habit. Ideal for planting in a border, pretty patio container or in a cut flower garden, your Paeonia will make a dramatic statement wherever placed and will really transform your outdoor space. It enjoys partial shade to develop and will reach a height and spread of 150cm. Grow tree peonies in full sun or a lightly shaded position that is sheltered from cold winds. They prefer a well drained, humus-rich, fertile, neutral to alkaline soil. They will grow in most soils, except waterlogged and acidic soils, provided they are improved on planting. This is best achieved by adding plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Plant tree peonies so that the grafted union sits about 15cm (6″) below the soil surface. Shallow planting may hinder establishment and delay flowering.
