Hosta ‘So Sweet’ is a compact, variegated variety that forms neat, rounded clumps of glossy, mid-green leaves with soft yellow edges. From July to August, the plant produces fragrant funnel-shaped blooms in shades of lilac and white, which rise gracefully above the foliage. This charming hosta is perfect for the front of moist borders, where it will stand out with both its attractive foliage and sweetly scented flowers. Unlike many other variegated hostas, Hosta ‘So Sweet’ is more sun-tolerant, making it a versatile choice for a variety of garden conditions. Height: 35cm (14″) | Spread: 55cm (22″). Please note that the height and spread of the plant may vary with the seasons, so we list by pot size rather than specific dimensions. The size of the plant upon arrival may differ from the images shown, as these are for reference only. A small variegated Hosta producing neat little clumps of mid-green leaves with creamy yellow margins. In late summer, short spikes of pale lilac flowers appear which have a delicious sweet fragrance. Hosta ‘So Sweet’ is brilliant for foliage interest in shady borders, woodland gardens and patio containers and this variety can also tolerate more sun than most variegated Hostas. Hardy and easy to grow, this lovely Plantain Lily is great for filling small gaps in the garden. Height: 35cm (14″). Spread: 50cm (20″). Grow Hosta plants in sun or dappled shade, on rich, moist, well-drained soil. Plants can grow well in a sunny border, but will need to be kept reliably moist. Plants may perform better on slightly acid soils. Before planting, work some fresh compost or general fertiliser into the top 20cm of the soil. Alternatively plant Hostas in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
