Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Mme Emile Mouillière’ is a stunning deciduous shrub with deep green, oval leaves and large, round, mophead-like white blooms that appear in mid to late summer. Under full sun, the flowerheads may develop a delicate pink hue. This variety thrives in acidic to neutral soil and makes a beautiful addition to mixed borders. Height: 150-200cm. Hydrangea macrophylla prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively plant hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
