Alstroemeria Inticancha Sunset is a stunning new Peruvian Lily, that is ready to flower from June until December. It produces an abundance of delightful, peach, yellow and raspberry-coloured blooms, that are each flecked with a rich brown. They top a bushy growing habit of fresh green foliage and sit well in patio pots, cottage, cut flower and tropical themed landscapes. Happy to progress in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height of 35cm, along with a spread of 30cm. Alstroemerias perform best in a sunny, sheltered spot in a rich, free-draining soil that contains lots of organic matter. A weekly feed with a high-potassium feed such as tomato food will encourage prolific blooming, while removing each stem after the flowers have faded will prolong the flowering season. Tall stems may benefit from staking or support to prevent wind damage. Though most alstromerias are hardy, they will benefit from an autumn mulch if in a border, or if in a container, being moved to a frost-free spot over winter.
