Our Currant ‘Trio’ is a fabulous mix of redcurrants, blackcurrants and whitecurrants. Ready to harvest from July until September, watch it produce an abundance of glossy fruit, that all comes from one petite fresh green plant! Easy to care for and versatile for using its currants in a range of different culinary dishes, be sure to incorporate into patio pots, smaller sized gardens, kitchen and cottage themed landscapes. It will remain happy in direct sunlight and will progress to a height and spread of 120cm. Three currants in one! Enjoy redcurrants, blackcurrants and whitecurrants from one pot with ‘Currant Trio’.
Currants prefer a position in full sun but will tolerate semi shade. Shelter from cold winds and late spring frosts as these conditions may damage the flowers, and reduce the yield of fruit later in the year. Grow currants in rich, moist, well drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure into the ground prior to planting.
